When is the Skate Park open?
9:00 a.m. Ð 8:00 p.m., weather permitting.
Because of the finish on the concrete, the park may not be opened if there is any water present.
What does it cost?
Season passes are available at the Rec:
North Wildwood residents/non-resident taxpayers $50.00
Non-residents $50.00
Daily usage (bracelets issued at park) $10.00
How do I register?
Make an appointment at the Rec for season passes, or pay by the day at the park. There is a form to fill out that includes:
REGISTRATION FORM
HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
If you are under 18, the forms MUST be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Are there equipment requirements?
Yes. Rules are posted, but safety equipment is required for all skaters, and must be worn to manufacturerÕs specifications, including: shoes/sneakers, shirts, helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards.
How come they are charging for us to use the park?
It was announced soon after the park opened fees would be charged.
User fees help to cover the cost of staffing and maintenance the park during operating hours.
During the time the fees were NOT being charged, it became obvious that skaters were less inclined to observe the posted rules and regulations while the park was not staffed.
Can I rent equipment anywhere?
Yes. WoodyÕs Surf and Skate Shop on Olde New Jersey in North Wildwood will rent a full set of pads for $10.00 per day. Helmets rentals are also available. A deposit is required.
What if I want to buy the equipment?
Kona Surf Shop on Rio Grande Ave and WoodyÕs has a full package. K-Mart (off-shore) also has sets that are reasonably priced.
