The North Wildwood Department of Public Works strives to satisfy its customers: residents, businesses, tourists, and other City organizations and departments. We welcome the opportunity to do things for them.
We value the opinions and concerns of the customers. Each division works hard to help build and maintain North Wildwood's reputation as a clean and attractive, safe and well-respected place for people to live, work and visit. The department will answer any question and respond to any complaint in a timely manner.
These are the responsibilities we handle daily:
In addition, we manage the particular needs presented by special events like festivals, parades, and concerts.
SWEEPING - Weather permitting, we continuously sweep the streets and parking lots. The city is broken down into sections that get attention weekly. If you see broken glass or areas missed due to parked cars, please call the office.

How Do You Dispose of...?
Metal, brush, electronics, and rigid plastics can be placed at the curb, alongside trash cans on the first trash day of the week. One bulk item a week may be put out. One mattress and box spring set counts as one item.
Brush or tree cuttings must be bundled with rope or tape and be no longer than four feet.
There is no need to notify Public Works to arrange for pick up, but it's important to put all trash out either before 7 a.m. or the night before
trash day.
The regular trash will be picked up as usual by our contracted vendor, Waste Management. The City's trucks will ride through designated streets on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays picking up these special items.
Feel free to call North Wildwood Department of Public Works with questions

Important Snow Removal Tips
When snow is on the way, in order to avoid being plowed in, please remove all cars and vehicles from the streets. Park vehicles on your driveways so that the first person who will leave is the last one parked in the driveway.
Parking on the driveway will give you less snow to shovel and a drier surface when pulling out.
Don't forget to back vehicles in.
Looking out to the street from your house, when shoveling, pile the snow to the right of the driveway.
Pile snow behind the curb--not on the roadway. If you throw snow in front of the curb, this will contribute to your being plowed in.
PLEASE realize that plowing will always deposit some snow at the end of your driveway, because we need to plow to the curb to have effective drainage of melting snow.
